It was celebrated on September, 17 in Cherkasy region. The event organizers are “Dykun Global Consult” company, the Netherlands Embassy in Ukraine and Association of Dairy Producers. Among the sponsors of the Dutch Dairy Day in Ukraine were MSD Animal Health, UNIFORM-AGRI, Lely East, Agroinmash, Norvet, Ukragropostach.

Why Dutch Dairy Day? Nowadays the Netherlands together with some other countries keep a leading position in dairy producing and retailing. In general its geographical position and prevailing natural conditions favour a varied and productive agriculture. The Dutch parlay the advantage. Farmers are mainly engaged in livestock breeding, dairy production and the cultivation of vegetables and horticultural crops. They export their products to many other countries. That’s why the organizers aimed to study the phenomenon of a small country as “a milk giant”. Many Ukrainian dairy producers attended the seminar to find out more about the Netherland experience and discuss the peculiarities of its application in Ukraine.
