What we feed and sell: European legislation demands to feed and beef

We continue a series of articles about the requirements of the EU to conduct milk and meat business. This time, our attention is focused on the hygiene of feeds, animal identification and labeling requirements of beef.

Hygiene of feeds

In the production of livestock products, special attention should be paid to the feed that animals consume. Therefore, a number of European legislation governing the production and health of feed. In addition to regulation №178, which contains the basic provisions for feed and feed and regulations №882 (called "Official control"), which describes the general principles of control is the regulation №183 from 2005 and it outlines the basics of hygiene feed.
