What are our decisions based on how calves should be fed during milk period? The results of years of research indicate that in addition to milk they need to be given concentrates with high content of nutrients. It is believed that this combination is ideal for intensive growth of calves and good rumen development. However, there are obvious facts that point to the benefits of feeding roughage. Features of calves and behavior help to ensure this.
