The technology of year-round keeping cows in open areas is widely used in the USA. In particular, this technology is used in states with dry and hot climate.

On the mainland of Ukraine «Shabsk farm», in Odessa region, was the pioneer, who used it.

During the 10th International Dairy Congress Rostislav Zinovsky, financial director of LLC Starokozatsky Cheese, told about the peculiarities, advantages and disadvantages of year-round keeping cows in open lots.
