How birds affect milk production
Birds are an important part of agriculture. They eat many pests, fight rodents and even pollinate some flowers. At the same time, they cause great damage by eating crops and fodder, as well as spreading diseases among livestock. For farmers, the risks associated with certain bird populations often outweigh the benefits. This is especially true in the dairy industry.
