Automated software management process of feeding — a luxury or a necessity?

Often Ukrainian milk producers are jokingly, or seriously thinking about feeding animals like this: as they say, on a dairy farm there are several rations given. The first one is written on paper, it has been developed by a specialist in nutrition – a consultant, or zootechnician. The second one is the one downloaded in the mixer (if there is any) and prepared. The third one is a distributed one. The fourth one is the one that the cattle have eaten... Well, we’ll stop here, because there can be lots of variations of rations set. Everything depends on the process of feeding on each farm and the number of workers.

How can one make a minimum of deviations and mistakes in the chain of making a ration until forage gets on the feed table? There can be lots of tips, but certainly, all of them contain the words “control”, “accounting”, “management”. We will not philosophize on rations any longer, but appeal to experience of one of the best farms in Ukraine, where milk production is put on commercial basis.
