End of 2014/15 marketing year was marked by a deficit in the domestic market of sunflower. Farmers considered unworthy purchase prices and didn’t sale oilseeds. Processors, wanting to avoid currency risk, redirected manufactured products for export, so the domestic market had no choice. The final price of sunflower meal of 2014/15 season amounted to 6200 UAH/t. All are in anticipation of the new season and the hope of lower prices.
