Forage conservation: results of 2014

Every year in the farms which are members of the Association of Dairy Producers (ADP) the quality of forage is improving. This is the result of joint efforts of farm experts and Counseling Center, the study of best practices, as well as their own trial and errors. It’s time to analyzeroughage for cows which was harvested in 2014.

Consumption, digestibility and milk

The Association aims to milk in average of 35 liters of milk per cow, and the feed efficiency should be high due to the quality roughage that best fit the physiology of ruminants. The productionof cows is determined by the number of dry matter (DM) that the animal can consume. How many DM do cows consume in average at farms-ADP?
