Man to meet his constantly growing both quantitatively and qualitatively demand for animal products, moved from hunting to grazing cattle, and then - to industrial livestock. We grow and then eat fish, poultry, rodents, reptiles, pigs, cows and more.

Caring for very largescale demands, people have to meet the needs of livestock in feed and comfortable housing, care for replacement youngstock and so on, not forgetting about the consensus between performance and cost of production. Cow, like all other animals, should bring profit to the owner. Interestingly, the resolution of this issue long before man cow (and not only it - all ruminants) took over herself.
